I was HUGELY impressed with The GW Band last time I saw them, so much so that while I wasn’t even working, I had to introduce myself and give them some press! If you don’t go to this show, you will regret it all of your days.

They say Dreams don’t always come true…

New Year, New Timmy…

Hello Interweb,

I have decided that I will no longer be fat. I know, I know, easier said then done, but I have a plan. I recently read a pretty incredible web presentation about a man who lost 150 pounds in 1 year. He was suffering from manic depression and food addiction, but was able to prevail.

I find that very inspirational, and the way he did it was very creative. He ate NOTHING, but one half of a Clif Bar per hour. I want to try this very badly, but being a starving artist, I cannot afford to buy that many Clif Bars, so I appealed to their manufacturer.

I sent them an email with my proposal, they provide the food, I will provide, pictures and a daily blog. I think this is a win-win, they help me, and gain an amazing marketing platform. So fingers crossed, I am waiting for a response.

Another thing I have recently decided, is I will no longer waste my writing ability. For the last 5 years, I have done what amounts to nothing with my talent. I spent well over $100,000 getting educated, and for what?

So I applied for a writing position with one of the local big papers, The Delaware County Times. I am trepidatious of putting myself out there, but now is the time. I have never wanted anything more than an opportunity to have my words reach thousands, and this is the only way I can find for now.

Eventually I would like to write novels professionally. Publishing houses will not take me seriously until I am accomplished and published. The Times is offering an open house to all interested bloggers this evening, and I am going to go. I will let you all know how it goes tomorrow.

I am a Karaoke God

I’m not cocky, just a realist. It may be sad, but I go to karaoke and kill it regularly. I think I just do it because I need to sing. Since I’m no longer working in theater, I miss the rush of people clapping and cheering.

I love hearing drunk girls say, “OMG! Do you have a record deal?” lol. It’s vain, I know, but I think everyone needs that feeling once and a while, even if it is in a bar full of completely intoxicated untalented people.

My favorite bar, Joclyn’s in Media is great. A lot of people think it is a shitty dive, but I love it. The people there are my kind of people, mostly hipsters in their late twenties. I love that when I walk in, the DJ announces my name and the bartenders greet me like old friends.

The fact that I can smoke inside and they regularly have $2 beers is a huge plus too.

Unfortunately most of my friends are a couple years younger, and are pretty new to the bar scene. They don’t understand the charm of a small bar with good people. My biggest bar pet peeve is waiting in line to get a beer. Seriously? If the bar is that busy, get more help.

I’d much rather drink in a half empty hole in the wall, with a few good friends, than spend 20 minutes drinking and 4 hours waiting for another beer at a packed bar. Not to mention the fact that walking through most bars in delco basically equates to being in a mosh pit also sucks.

I just wish some of my close friends and family members would come once and a while. Music is something I take a lot of pride in. I consider it my best talent. I can’t get these people to come hear me, and it is frustrating. They would be proud of me if they could hear me.

It’s especially frustrating because I was very self-conscious about my voice until adulthood. Neither of my parents has even  heard me sing before. I would love it if they could find it in themselves to suffer though one night in a “shitty” bar, just to hear what I can do.

On the set list tonight, a few songs I have been performing for years and have perfected. First, I will sing Viva la Vida by Coldplay. Then I will team up with my hetero life mate Tom, and together we will sing Little Lion Man by Mumford and Sons and Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.

The last tune, Bohemian Rhapsody, is always a crowd pleaser.

Why is it faux pas to seek monetary bridal shower gifts from our families, when we don’t need another damn toaster or blender? What we need is the money to throw a Ballin’ outta control Reception. Riddle me that, batman.

Sorry, I’ve been M.I.A

Hey All,

So I’m sorry I’ve been M.I.A for a few months. Things have been crazy for me, crazy good! In recent Timmy news, I got a new job! I am now the Social Media Manager of a local car dealership. What a dream job, I get to play around on facebook and twitter and, the best part, get paid to do it!

I got engaged! I asked the love of my life to marry me, and of course, she said yes. I mean, honestly, who would turn this down?

My finance and I also moved in together. It’s been a whirlwind of activity trying to get the new apartment ready. So While I’ve been gone, I’ve been busy.

Now however, it’s time to get back to blogging. I’ve missed this outlet for my creative flow. Safe to say there is a significant backup. In the coming months I will attempt to keep the wedding chatter down to a minimum, but honestly, it is all that is on my mind.

I’m intensely nervous about getting the money together for this wedding. I want to give her the fairytale wedding that she has always dreamed of, she deserves it. The money simply isn’t there right now, and I only have 15 months to save for it.

The guest list is also becoming a bigger headache that I imagined it would be. I am comfortable with 150 guests, unfortunately the list of people we want to invite, is well over 200. There are also some guest who really don’t deserve an invite, but since they are significant others of close family members, I don’t have a say in the matter.

0ne specific person really has my knickers in a bunch. She is a GF of a family member, and oh, the horror. She is a terrible person, simple as that. I do not see what this guy sees in her, I wish I could, because it seems like he loves her, but sadly, she is just a cock-juggling thunder cunt to me, and always will be.

Have you ever met someone with such a shitty attitude, that you are left wondering how they have made it over twenty years on this planet without being murdered? She is one of those people. The thing that perhaps pisses me off the most, is that he doesn’t keep her in check.

He allows her bad behavior by not mentioning it, and taking her side if someone else does. ARE YOU BLIND, DUDE? Are you kidding me? Not surprised though, he has a proven track record for being terrible at judging potential mates.

I would take pleasure in sending him an invitation without a “plus one,” but I’ve been ordered to keep the peace and allow her presence. Make no mistake about it, if she says anything during my nuptials that enrages my Fiance, I will not be the one that holds her back from destroying this twat.

So these things, the $15,000 budget deficit, the hella annoying family baggage and the normal wedding nerves are contributing to my lack of sleep recently.

On a lighter note, NYE was reckless. When my original friends gather inside one building, it rarely ends without a trip to the local precinct or hospital, and this year was no exception.

Let me preface the current story with an anecdote from last year. My brother and my surrogate Jewish brother, a next door neighbor that I’ve known since I was five are silly bastards. Their idea of fun is shooting roman candles at each other, High Noon style, as if they are a couple of cowboys, dueling for some big chested hooker.

Last year, it ended with two hoodies and two pairs of sweatpants being ruined, giant burn holes all over, and the little Jew boy losing a patch of hair. This year, the Jew escaped unscathed, but my brother blew off a 1 CM x 1 CM section of his pointer finger’s fingerprint. This sucker bled for literally 12 hours.

Here is a simple equation: 5CB(cases of beer)+5B(bottles of liquor)+$100F(fireworks)+11SF(stupid fuckers)= EBH (Egregious Bodily Harm)

My New Years resolution is to lose 150 LBS and go to church every Sunday. A random black lady once told me, “You motherfucker, need Jesus.” Maybe she was right…
